Flexible simulation of traffic with microservices, agents & REST

چکیده
Hypermedia Multi-Agent System (MAS) Simulation is a novel approach to building agent-based simulations in which the environment modelled as set of linked hypermedia resources that are implemented using microservices. This paper discusses implementation an prototypical simulation system based on this concept and lessons learnt process.

Agents for Traffic Simulation
Vehicular traffic is a classical example of a multi-agent system in which autonomous drivers operate in a shared environment. The article provides an overview of the state-of-the-art in microscopic traffic modeling and the implications for simulation techniques. We focus on the short-time dynamics of car-following models which describe continuous feedback control tasks (acceleration and braking...
متن کاملMicroscopic traffic simulation with reactive driving agents
Computer traffic simulation is important for making new traffic-control strategies. Microscopic traffic simulators can model traffic flow in a realistic manner and are ideal for agent-based vehicle control. In this paper we describe a model of a reactive agent that is used to control a simulated vehicle. The agent is capable of tactical-level driving and has different driving styles. To ensure ...
متن کاملMicroservices - Lightweight Service Descriptions for REST Architectural Style
Current web has a vast number of applications available that offer users a wide domain of services. Most services, however, cannot be machine processed, which limits service composition for application and mashup development. Research on Semantic Web Services contributes to the improvement of interoperability and composition of applications and services. Many approaches cover service descriptio...
متن کاملModeling Mobile Traffic Agents on Network Simulation
This article describes a new and novel approach to model dynamic simulation of mobile traffic agents such as pedestrians and cars on a simple network graph. The modeling approach is based on route choice self-organization of multi agents. In contrast to the traditional method of traffic assignment that assigns probability on each route based on a generalized travel cost, our model considers rou...
